    I booked an hour flying experience at JetSim School as I was fascinated by the idea of experiencing a high-fidelity simulator. I've used desktop simulators at home but I was blown away by the sheer number of working features in this cockpit! My Instructor took me to the new Hong Kong airport and we took off into a dusk sky. The display outside the cockpit was amazing and so immersive! I felt like I was rolling and climbing with the aircraft's every move! We flew the Boeing over to the old Kai Tak airport where we made a landing over the rooftops of the city. My instructor, Nick showed me the different landing aids and autopilot settings as well as the flight computer then talked me through an ILS landing. We finished off with an emergency simulation of an engine failure! After a MAYDAY call, Nick talked me through the effects of the damaged engine and how to fly with only one engine left! We landed safely back at the new airport and shut the aircraft down at the terminal after taxying back to the gate. I can't thank the team at JetSim School enough for an amazingly immersive experience! If you've ever wanted to know what it is like to be an airline pilot, go here!
